So I have a SKODA Fabia I Combi (6Y5) 1.2 64 hk which I´m trying my best to keep on the road. The latest issue happened when I suddenly lost power steering while driving off a motorway. When I got it home I noticed a pool of fluid under the hose where it has corroded and leaked over time. I bought a new hose from Autodoc and figured out how to remove the old one. But when as soon as I took the new one out of its packaging I noticed the banjo hose fitting was wrong. The old one has a 16mm opening

Hi, I have just bought a 2023 Karoq auto but am disappointed to find the car does not creep to allow for slow movement parking.Yes I know, I should have checked during the test drive. Is there a setting I have missed? I have read we can cause damage to the clutches if we use the brake to "creep". Is that correct? Also, my 12 year old Mercedes auto will hold the car on a hill, perhaps on a queue of traffic, by pressing the HOLD feature but the Karoq will need the Auto stop feature turned on.

Hi all. About a month ago a picked up my first car, a 2016 Fabia. The dealership noted 'applied lubricant front window mechanism' Since driving it the past month, the window was become very squeaky! I've applied silicone spray WD40 today but no fix. Any other thoughts? The noise is unbearable 20260620_184523(1)_1_1.mp4

Hi. The installed 7-pin trailer connector on my Fabia I combi (6Y5) is very flaky, and my plan is to replace it with a new 13-pin connector, which most trailers have now and not need to to use the bulky 7- to 13-pin adapter However when the old connector was removed i noticed there was an extra cable going to a little switch which is grounded (pin 3) when a trailer is not connected (i guess). What is this extra cable used for? Is it possible to just rewire the normal 7-pin to a 13-pin connector
