I assume you've both pressed the button, and held it?

Surely having held the button and got it to say that the traction control and ESC are off, things are off enough?

I can't help you though if this isn't the case! :)

Antispin can be switched off, but stability control (ESC) can only be switched to sport.

Both are operated with same button. Short press for Antispin, long push for ESC.

It is now no longer legal to fully deactivate a safety system. Most don't even have an on/off switch now.

You can't disable traction completely, It still stays on but in a reduced mode.

1 press = traction control to sport, stability control full

1 press and hold = traction control to sport, stability control to sport

Tractioncontroll can be disabled. If not it would really suck on snow.

You can do it with VCDS or OBDeleven

2015 onwards the car will not allow full control of wheel spin with ASR off, ESC Sport, or ESC off.  Something I'm still trying to work out.

I've coded mine to be ESC Sport when the button is pressed, then ESC off when the button is held.  Much more enjoyable now with ESC fully off.

2015 onwards the car will not allow full control of wheel spin with ASR off, ESC Sport, or ESC off.

Could it be related to the XDS settings?

With me (2014 model in the Netherlands) short press = disable all (ASR/ESC off) and long press is sport.

When pushed you will notice the sport mode allows for wheelspin but no sideways movement.

"All off" will fully allow understeer without correcting it, so you are fully responsible for not wrecking it ;).
