Parking Sensors - Skoda Citigo Elegance - May 2014 Model

Featured Replies

I am looking to retro fit parking sensors to Front & Rear.

Quanan sensors look good, so will look to get these fitted by local garage.

1. Does anyone have any advice or tips / recommendations before I proceed ?

2. Sensor supplier has asked if Bumpers are plastic or metal - Please can someone advise ?

Many Thanks.......

Check metal or plastics with a magnet.

Rear bumper is definitely plastic, and I think front bumper is too.

The bumper skins are plastic. There may be a metal reinforcing beam behind the skin. You may also need to drill through this beam to fit the sensors.

It'll be a bumper off job to fit the sensors, rear spare wheel well is in the way

I know that these parking aids can be useful ....but if ever there was a car that doesn't need them, it's the Citigo - easiest car to park, ever!

However, the Citigo highlighted my over-reliance on parking sensors on my mum's Yeti, as I reversed it into a bush 3 hours after pick up, simply because I forgot it had parking sensors.
