Ok, I have a bit of a problem. I have W8 ambilight installed, but now I need to remove it, and I can't because there is no way I can get even close to those 2 metal clips to remove the dome. 

 

How you guys do it ? 

Mine just unclipped, didn't have any screws etc I don't think...

Don't you just pop the lens off, undo the two screws and swing it down as standard?

Nope, ambilight doesnt have screws, it has two strong metal clips which holds the light, but now I can't access them.

You'll need to pry it then. try old credit cards or flooring adhesu=ive spreaders or similar before workign up to the wrapped screwdriver.... And eventually the rage-hammer.

Just fitted a W8 light to my Octy, Original light had 2 screws but the W8 is just held in by spring clips.

Yeah, the original has 2 screws but w8 doesn't. It's got 4 x 501 bulbs in the middle so no rooms for screws.

I can't remember tbh, it was a while ago
