Window switches.

Featured Replies

When did the window switches for the passenger & drivers side start to appear in the drivers door? (what year/build) Is this an easily doable upgrade to a car that has separate switches?

It requires some soldering and running wires from passenger to drivers side switch for this to worl

That sounds easy enough. Does anyone have a wiring schematic or part number for the dual switch. I assume the door card will be unaffected??

Is that a real dog by the way?

Hope he knows he's been 'tweeked' or he may be upset when he sees it. :D .

You also need the surround for the 2 switches as well don't forget, haven't got part numbers to hand tho

Yeah, I appreciate that. I just wondered if anyone had actually done the mod and whether it was fairly straightforward or more trouble than it's worth. When did the change take place, what year did it cut-in at?

I haven't done it myself but there is a guide lurking on the Up! owners club

Does anyone know if there is a windows /lock-unlock doors switch that can illuminate, because at night it's a little bit difficult to find them by touch....

Thnx

The Citigo is that small you can easily reach across from the driver's seat to operate the passenger window switch!  :D

That is true, but while the CitiGo is a cracking little car in many ways, it lags way behind many of it's counterparts in regards to standard kit. It's one of the very few cars that you can buy that still has manually adjustable mirrors until you hit SEL trim. I understand it's all about keeping costs down and differentiating various models but the dual level boot divider is another penny pinching omission that they want £65 for even on the SEL which is the wrong side of 10K new. Great car, but they need to up their game a bit as they are falling behind the competition imo.

That said, off to look at a pre-reg 5dr later today...
