Hello from Belgium

Featured Replies

Good Afternoon All,

First of all, I do apologize for my english but I will do my best to be clear enough :-)

My name is Liviu and I'm coming from Belgium (closed to Luxemburg exactly)

I'm currently the owner of a wonderful 2013 Octavia Combi Rs III 2.0 Tdi DSG, ( with a small issue but I will explain this in the relevant post )

I was really impressed about the community here with regards to Skoda and that's why I would like to increase my knowledge on it.

Thank you in advance for your welcome and feel free to contact me if you have any questions

Cheers

Hi Liviu, you're very welcome!  Plenty of knowledgeable members on here.  I'm sure you'll get your problem sorted over on the Octavia forum.

Majority are from the UK alright but not all of us :)

Hi Liviu,

Škoda is an increasingly popular make in the UK, & Ireland, it's incredible how many Yeti I see on my daily commute! You can't argue with the balance of performance to price in our cars.

I also have the 2013 Octavia Combi Rs III DSG, but the 220 PS 2 Ltr TSI, not the diesel. I have only had it for a week so I'm still finding out about the car and Briskoda has been the perfect place to get answers to questions. I'm trying to find the balls to test the launch control function.

Hello & welcome . Great to see you here , enjoy the forums ..

Hi mate,

Thank you.

The is exaclty the reason why I bought one ( performance and price)

How does it work for the launch control ? I have doubt concerning the gearbox. I m coming from Nissan skyline and always heard that it s to hard (If we use it frequently) for it.

But it might be usefull for specific moment

You can find it in the Owner Manual. Turn Off Traction Control & Start/Stop. Car into D, footbrake on. Full accelerator (will only Rev to 3500 RPM, Release the brake & GO!
