2016 Octavia music media issues

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have just taken delivery of my latest Octavia Estate on lease and was disappointed to find it now has no cd player as standard.

Also, I could use my ipod shuffle on my 2014 car with no problems, yet on my new one it say "device unsupported " when I plug it in, even though the media booklet in the car says all Ipods can be used.

Does anyone else have this problem and know a way to resolve it ?

Cheers,

I've not had those problems, but the other day I was listening to the DAB radio, muted it for some reason, and it wouldn't let me unmute it.

Also if using bluetooth to listen to Spotify, the shuffle function on the car system doesn't put my phone on to shuffle :(

Hi Nick. Have a look in the glovebox, a single disc cd-player together with SD card slot(s) are located there in my car.

I too missed the multi-disc player in my old Octavia at first, but have now downloaded most of my collection onto SD card, which can then be used instead... much more convenient.

Enjoy the car!

The CD/DVD drive was deleted from 2015 MY (MIB2 introduction)  so now theres only the SD-card slots or USB input available.

You could try another cable and see what happens. In the other hand you could buy a 128gb sd card, fill with music and you dont need no cable then

Or stream songs from your mobile using blue tooth audio.

Also try a software update on your ipod.

My 1tb external hard drive also works fine in the USB port in case anyone is thinking of using one. I've yet to plug in my iPOD though. No CD player here either, which is good as I have no CD's anymore!
