New L&K - Moon White Metallic & Beige?

Featured Replies

Hello all, newbie here  :notme:  and potential first-time Skoda owner!

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Superb L&K 2.0 TDI 150PS hatch, but am undecided on colour combinations.

I love the look of the Moon White metallic, but all the physical cars I've seen have Black or Brown leather, whereas I'm leaning towards Beige (which appears more like cream to my eye, but hey ho).

My colleague has a BMW 640d in White with 'Oyster' (cream coloured) leather and it looks great.

Has anyone here seen a White/Beige combo in the flesh? Can't find any pictures of White with Beige anywhere (except the configurator, of course)  ;)

I see lots of Superbs in the greys/browns/blacks (which look great), but I've never seen a white one on the road, so figured I'd be different.  B)

Any comments, thoughts or suggestions would be gratefully received!

If you plan on keeping it then why not. But if your thinking of selling it on at a later date...there is a reason you haven't seen any white/cream combos.

I'd be getting it on a business lease for 2 years, so it's resale value later on won't affect me.

Have you actually seen the beige interior? Is it a light tan colour, or more cream/off-white? I can't tell, even from photos on Auto Trader.

It's creamy but not a colour combo I would go for. If you fancy something a bit 80s your could go with Corrida Red and Cream leather.

I have seen a silver one with Cream which looked fine really, yes it looks very light on light... but its each to their own.

As you are going to be leasing it for 2 years, i dont see any reason why you would not do it, if thats what you like.

Thanks guys. Will give it some thought and report back once I've made up my mind...

I have an L&K Superb in white with a beige interior and I think it looks absolutely stunning, it is always a pleasure to get into, and drive. The beige seats are easy to keep clean as I had them in a previous Octavia for five years, I use a leather cleaner and wipe them over probably more than is necessary but I like lovely seats and it keeps the leather supple. There seems to be a debate as to whether it is real leather (I know the Octavia was only half leather but the Superb seems to be all leather seating) and perhaps it has a surface treatment but in my naive mind I wipe them over and they stay lovely. Order and enjoy.

Part of the seats is not leather but is some form of pvc or as Mercedes call pvc, Artico.

I have had full Artico (or Pleather as we call it!) in my current car for the last 4 years and have found it to be really good - no problems at all and it isn't anything like the plastic seats in my Grandmas Allegro circa 1979 as I'd feared!!!'

Everyone who has seen it or sat in it thinks it is leather.

I'd have no hesitations in having it again and am not concerned about it making up part of the seats on the S3 I have on order

I have a white combi with beige leather & love the Combination, it's not too creamy inside & strikes the right balance inside with the top half of the dash black & also with the S/wheel & mats being black also. I can send you on photos if you like, PM me if you do.

Surely the area that you sit on is leather, I know that the sides and back are pvc. If as you say the seats are not leather would there not be an issue with Trades and Description laws? We have all seen faux leather and it is a clever imitation of leather but these seats are too like the real thing to be anything other than leather surely? Having said that I have never noticed the leather smell I had when I had a new Jaguar XJ8.

From what I can tell the back of the seats and headrest covers are plastic, the sides and fronts of the seats are leather..
