Touch up pens

Featured Replies

Got a little scuff on my rear bumper, about an inch in length.

Any recommendations as to where I can buy a genuine pen for race blue. All of the ones on eBay seem to be out of date.

Main stealer. Cost isn't much more than flea bay. But get a correct paint match

I've used the company in mobilone's post..

And of course there's Halfords. Cost around £12. Got one (actually a set of three - base, colour, clear lacquer) for my black magic pearl.

(No personal connection.)

I've always used main dealer touch up pens and the colour match has been very good and price wasn't horrendous...

Wipe down chip with isopropyl alcohol, add colour with a cocktail stick. Then build up the thickness with clear until they are level, flat off with 2000 wet and dry then finally machine polish and it will almost be impossible to see

As yours is a scruff the brush that comes with them may be more effective but normally they are too big to be much use for anything

Thanks for the advice, I'm sure it'll look flawless once I've had a go on it ☺
