I did not specify the electric tail gate on my estate. When you press and hold the boot button on the key it unlatches but the lid seems to heavy for it to lift it. Is this common for anyone else or do I possibly have a defective boot lid/latch?

It doesn't lift up - it just opens on your car.

I thought it was the case. Just previous Passat, mondeo and 3 series all opened fully off the key. Shame really it's my on niggle with the car so far. Should not been a tight git and paid for the electric
