It's a Skoda Honest

Featured Replies

It's a Skoda Honest on the hatchback window - the joke has long gone stale

It seems to be individual letters affixed very firmly on to the glass

How do I remove it without damaging the heated rear screen electrodes  ?

Lodestone

Bit of paint thinner applied with a cloth should lift it.

Removed mine with a Stanley knife blade but bust the bottom heated screen element :p   Seems to make little difference though. Those letters are made of some pretty hard material!

Mine had this on...

Removed mine with a razor blade and some brake and clutch cleaner, you can still read it when the window is steamed up in the winter but not otherwise. Careful with the blade not to scrape the heating element like the guy above did.

Same with mine.

I have been advised to use a hair dryer - any merit re this ?

Lodestone

It might soften the adhesive and make it easier to remove.

Don't razor blade it, if you do be carful as you can damage the heating element on the rear window.

Mind had been removed so I bought another one. I love it, it's period nostalgia and a quirky idea from Skoda.

+1 I bought another sticker in the same font

"It's a Skoda. Honest."

But as above - hair dryer may well soften the glue and aid the removal, I would try a hard plastic edge before a razor personally.
