Octavia 3 guide to mount the VRS foot rest

Featured Replies

Hi

any trix guide to mount the steel foot rest in a Octavia 2016 1,4?

Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the mountings and you will understand easy how it is fixed.

Janmand,

Check this video.

I did it in the same way except I did not remove the bonnet handle.

But it seems easier with removed handle. :notme:

Good chinese copies, I did almost 100k km with them so far.

The rubber thickness is still more than 50% on them.

(The black part of the footrest pedal is hard plastic, like on the original.)

Friend of mine compared the original footrest pedal to the chinese and the only (visible) difference was that the original is more shiny.

Problem with Chinese stuff is right/left hand drive differences. Often the photos (and text) will show correct - for UK - but product supplied can be wrong. If  it's only cheap, write it off, but beware if buying expensive bits.

I wonder if RS6 has the same pedals from aliexpress :D

Just info its mounted.

Took off the opening handle for the hood to loosen the covering.

Then it was just a walk in the park.

I actually got a CN cheap copy from eBay, it looked like **** and was poor made.

It was not for me and ended up in the trashcan.
