Hi mate,

There's a post somewhere (apologies I don't know which one)

Essentially a member tried xenon upgrade bulbs and was less than impressed...as far as I remember he ended up upgrading the whole lighting system, at what I imagine, considerable expense.

If you want my opinion...I know the octavia xenons are not the best out there, but they're much better than halogens! Just stick with it...that's what I'm doing!

You'll notice a slight difference in colour but no difference in light output.

I tried the Osram CBI's

Only way to increase the output on these headlights is to use boosted ballasts to drive the bulbs at 50w not the std 35w.

The are CONSIDERABLY better :-)

Xpower, what's your take on minor height adjustment on Xenons? Do they need vcds or can small adjustments be made like on an mot?

I've made minor adjustments on mine without VCDS and I do have it.

I think if they are way off then putting them into setting mode is preferred but for small adjustments it's not really needed.
