Random fact - When remapping an Audi RS6 you also have to remap the gearbox.

Would that be down to the torque limiter?

BTW, that RS6 is kicking out some serious torque!!!

why's that then

Changing the subject slightly :o

Anyone seen the new Audi S8 ?

Its got the 5.0 V10 from the Lamborghini Gallardo but they have squeezed an extra .2 of a litre out of it

450 bhp of power and 540 Nm of torque, 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, and is electronically governed at 250 km/h.

Yummy

Becuase the engine and gearbox ECU's talk to each other as your driving for correct gear change and gear change style(amongst other things)

The engine was designed at the outset by Audi - to be manufactered by Audi(which it is - although it's constructed at Sant Agata)

The engine has an increase of 200cc -- and has FSi added, power is down sllightly at 444bhp but torque curve has been altered to give better response.

All Audi's that are capable will do the "Gentlemans agreement" 155 limit -- but they will work within the 15% leeway which means the actual top speed(on private test tracks) is 178mph

Can't wait to have a go -- we already have 2 confirmed orders

Random Fact 2 - When remapping an Audi RS6 you also have to remap the gearbox, your wallet and the satnav as it will have a tendency to re-route you via a petrol station every 50miles.

I hear it also makes your wilie bigger if you break the 600lb torque mark.

I could be wrong tho.

No tis true, also if you break the 200bhp mark in the Fabia it can add a couple of inches.

And if you drive an Octavia it can add one to your head  ;):D
