Rapid REMap 1.2 TSI Anyone had this done

Featured Replies

Are there significant improvements to the cars performance but any signs of over wearing any engine components due to the remap

Plenty have had it done to 1.2 TSI in Mk2 Fabias, and some in the 1.2 TSI in Mk3's.

They have not said anything against having the remap, just positive because they get what the paid for, about 20bhp extra.

AwesomeGTI have Demp Seat Ibiza 1.2TSI with Stage 1 from APR,

& there is a thread in their section on this forum.

ISTR Revo say they can do 144bhp, which is about 40 up on the (admittedly understated) factory numbers.

Independent tests on standard 1.2 TSi have shown 116 horses rather than the quoted 105.

Mine is way quicker than the 105 bhp stated by skoda, I drive reasonably fast cars at work 240bhp and plus and my Rapid feels almost as quick! I'm not saying it's even near 140, let alone 240, but it's very light indeed and it pulls hard in second third and fourth.

Quite agree. It's a very restricted engine with much more potential inside it. I tested mine many times on a deserted airfield right to the limit.
