Which one of you magnificent people owns the blue MK2 VRS taxi I spotted southbound on the M40 today?

Quite a few vrs facelifts on as taxis in Newcastle and the surrounding areas. A few black, white and race blue ones kicking around

I was going to buy one but finally decided they are too small for me, Superb won.

Yeah I'm running a superb elegance dsg estate on a 62 plate at the minute . Acres or room in the back. Octavia has a good amount also,had a 13 plate before I got current car.

Superb is where my money will go from now, however I'm hearing the Mk3 doesn't have as much legroom?

It's been around 8 months since the octavia 3 was binned due to dmf/gearbox issues so I can't really remember about room in the back. Don't remember getting many knees in my back when I had a full load. Not many superb 3s on in my patch yet- happy with my mk2 but I do have a tendency to change cars on a whim so you never know!!!

Not sure if they have reduced it in the MK3, but one thing is for certain, you will not find anyone complaining there is not enough legroom in the back of a MK3 Superb! .... it is still huge.

I shall maybe go investigate and have a test drive at the dealer. Next taxi will be Mk3, L&K 2.0 190

Now based on a stretched version of the VW Group’s MQB architecture, it weighs up to 75kg less than its predecessor but has grown in virtually every direction. It’s now 28mm longer, 47mm wider and 6mm taller, with a 80mm longer wheelbase, too. So while the rear legroom is identical (frankly, any more would have been overkill) there’s more elbow room (39mm more in the front, 69mm rear) and more headroom (3mm front, 25mm rear) than before.

I saw a taxi mk2 FL vrs Octavia in dark metallic grey this morning, around blarney area of cork at 10am.

 

Looked excellent
