Hi

I've just joined. I already own an Octavia Elegance Tdi estate which I bought new in 2003. I am looking to replace my second car with a Fabia Vrs in the next few months.

Any tips or advice for me from Vrs owners??

My Octavia is in silver but my wife wants the Vrs in black.

However I've had mates with black cars who have said it isn't a good colour and shows up any scratches etc. I like the red but on alot of red cars the paint seems to go off a few years down the line.

I'm leaning towards the silver which has been the colour of the last few years!

Think I'm gonna go for silver when the time finally comes.

I was at the Skoda dealers a couple of days ago. I still haven't taken a Fabia Vrs for a run yet, I might wait until the weather gets better. They had a black magic one in there which I had a look at. Was a bit disappointed by the dash but that won't stop me buying the car.

BTW also had a look at the new Octavia Vrs. IMHO not nearly as attractive as the old one but great interior. Rather a lot of money though!!
