I have a VRS TDI ordered since 30/05/2016, their 8/9 week estimate has just gone by.

 

So I called last week and was told that it had been built but hadnt left the factory but I would have it in two weeks, is that accurate or maybe abit optimistic of them?

I would think that's very optimistic but keep everything crossed.

Mine actually sat at the UK port for two weeks after it landed!

Having said that from order to collection was only just over 8 weeks.

Yeh I think it might be optimiaitic. Its not so bad they gave me a courtesy car

yeah normally once its arrived at the port its about 2-3 weeks for delivery to the dealer, PDI checks & then delivery to the Customer.

So if its not left the factory yet I would guess it would be longer.

Most of this delivery time is out the hands of the dealer as its down to the transport/logistics/ferries etc.

 

However, if your dealer is geared up for a fast hand-over (which they will be if they are giving you a hire car) they can save maybe a week or so.

I waited 10-days before I could collect it after it had arrived at the dealer.

 

So fingers crossed it shouldn't be much more than their 2-weeks prediction.

Hang in there, its totally worth the excitement & anticipation once collection day arrives.!
