Water ingress to rear passenger door, but seals look ok?

Featured Replies

Any ideas for fixing this one? I've recently noticed that when it rains there was been water ingress to the rear passenger door, on the bottom half.

The door seals appear fine, and there is no wet at the top of the door. I do not believe the damp is caused by "splash back" from rain.

Any ideas where to start with sorting the problem?

This. Repair using this.

Plumber Gold will be your best friend.

Don't forget the spare door clips, buy a dozen or so just in case.

About seven clips per rear Fabia MK1 door..

You need to throughly clean of the old "foam" before apliying new sealent. I used the proper Loctite black sealent for the job but have a garage for the job & dried the car out. However you would be best getting something that will work in wet conditions & has some flexibility & will stick to metal.

I would advise Everbuild "weathermate" very good specs.
