Small dent on a wheel arch

Featured Replies

Within the last month I got 2 dents on my Fabia wheel arches: one on the front left and one on the rear right arch. It really ****es me off because it almost seems it were done intentionally by someone.

Anyway, is there an easy way to fix this? (yes, these are small dents but noticeable enough for me to be annoyed with them  )? It seems the paint didn't get chipped away, by the way.

Oh, and the pics:

I had a dent in my last cars wheel arch, put there by one of our customers doors (no idea who, though).

I got one of those dent remover guys. Lots of them. Find one that comes recommend and they can pop up too your house and get it done. Only thing may be a issue is that it's on a crease of the metal, but wasn't when he did mine. Hope this helps. :)

As mentioned they look like someone has opened car doors onto yours.

I was sitting in my car on a station car park 3 weeks ago and a passenger in a Ford Ka next to me knocked their door into my new Fabia. They thought I was being pedantic when I got out to see if there was any damage (luckily there wasn't).

I usually park well away from other cars on car parks but it's not always possible.

Yeah looks like someone has opened their door into yours.

As above park away from others if possible, a small walk is better then a dent.

There are plenty of dent removal guys out there but I think as its on the crease your going to have issues.

This really p***** me off I park well away from other cars in a supermarket but guaranty when I come back some **** has parked one foot from my car even though empty spaces all around Grrrrrrrrr

I think it's some sort of ocd thing with some people. They have to park next to another car come what may.

I came back to my car on Morrison's car park recently and someone had parked so close I had no choice but to get in via the passenger side even though there were plenty of spaces all around.

Avoid parking next to old Rovers, white vans and 4 x 4s with child seats in the back is my motto :D

Some people have to use other cars as a guide to park. Which IMO should mean that they shouldn't be driving...

worst ones I find after big 4x4's are those  with the black plastic all round (scout type body mouldings) they always seem to have scrapes on the corners as though they seem to be driving a bumper car

either that or a car with dents in all the panels as I often wonder if they are insured etc

I see, I avoid parking near, I all but run away from them and hide in another corner of the car park

  • 2 weeks later...

jon, those dents will come out ok, even the one on the wheel arch crease. We used Dent Devils to fix small dents like that and they are brilliant. Because of the way the wheel arch is constructed you can rub some of the dent on the crease out and pull other bits of it out too. It will look absolutely brand new afterwards. Worry not, just call someone you know is good!

Thanks for your input, everyone. I'm still looking for options -- I'm not from UK though...
