Hit in the back from a .... bicycle

Featured Replies

Life is too weird some time.

Today while waiting a pedestrian to move away from park place in order to park the car was hit at the back from a guy with a bicycle (obviously not watching the road).

While asking is he fine and etc he run away. I had to call 112 and try to explain the situation and also wait for police to come. As a final surprise they had intention to write me a ticked because I've waited on the locale even no signs disallowed that.

As a final:

Bumper with paint chapped, 5th door with damage and back left fender with sagging.

I was hit several times but never from a bicycle. Its not smashed as if it was a tank but anyway not really good feeling.

Sorry to hear that.  That is really frustrating especially the reaction of the police!  I presume there is no way of finding the cyclist now?  Hope you can get it sorted without costing too much although its obviously best to get it fixed properly as its a new car.

Really feel for you, nice new car and some idiot damages you car and runs off, I know its only a car but all of us work hard to get the nice things in life, every car I have had has been damaged, mostly only minor but always by someone else.

I love a new car, but as I have said in previous posts, having a new car makes me bloody nervous, spoils the enjoyment of the car to be honest, I think this will be my last new one, nerves can't take it these days.

Sorry to hear about that, pity the cyclist ran away, are there any cctv cameras that show the accident and the cyclist? Dissappointed with the reaction of the police, why would they want to ticket you when all you were doing was the correct thing by not leavign the scene of an accident!!

Ian.
