Hi all,

 

Got a 1.9tdi 2002 Estate and it has picked up a new habit.

 

I've only really noticed it at night, but it's happened at least half a dozen times now...

 

When driving down the road, for a split second the lights will go off and back on again.

It did it once today and interestingly, the lights on the dashboard went off as well (clock backlight etc).

 

Anyone know what I should be checking? Are there any relays etc.?

It's most likely the dip switch if it only happens on dipped beam.

It does it on dipped beam as well.

 

All of the lights flicker off for a split second and I swear I hear a relay click as well.

 

Alternator seems fine and has had the load wire/exciter wire repaired

Checked the battery terminals are tight?
