Hi does anyone have the vrs in Rio red with black pack as can't find any pictures, as I've just purchased my 3rd vrs now do I go for race green again or be different and go for Rio red I would much appreciate it

There is a picture of my Rio red Vrs with black pack on the Post your mk3 Octavian photos thread page 41 post 1223. I can't seem to get a link set up.

If I recall there was another owner posting some time before that with the same spec

The colour is a bit like marmite. Clean and in summer sunshine it looks great. The colour almost takes a bronze hue. See the photo. Dirty it is the colour of a very large brick!

Rio red does not seem to be a very popular colour on any skoda let alone a Vrs.

It's surprising what you learn your Skoda can do. I recently found that it can read my texts out. My mate thought it would be funny to text me a rude phrase but sent it to his wife instead! Haha

Our neighbour has an octavia in rio red.

 

As mentioned unless clean and sunny then it looks rather dull and uninspiring imho

Wow, best color ever

Ordered my 185 vrs rio red with black pack early July. Car completed and in Germany ready shipment for expected delivery in ten days. Been trying to obtain best impression of the rio red colour so appreciate original post and photo response on here. Having seen this photo think I made the right colour choice for me and can't wait to see the real deal. Had my present octavia ambiente for ten years and loved driving it so very much looking forward to my new replacement. Will post pics and update news following my initial runs.

Looks Nice colour when clean

 

IMO for a red tone can't beat the mk1 Golf red orangy tangerine colour and its doesn't appear that far from that.

 

Saw such a mk1 for sale in Coventry many, many years ( or decades!) ago for about £2,500 and really wanted it and ended up with a rather shtty rusting silver one instead, that didn't keep really that long ! Something like this, perfection.
