Is there anyone else as good as Seat Surgeons York or do I just have to face they are the best in the country?

Just realised they are a good 400 mile or so round trip so just wonder if anyone as capable and a bit closer

( or some other options to very securely send my seats there, bearing in mind they will be worth at least £500 to me )

 

Otherwise its gonna add considerable time + miles and at least £100 fuel cost or so if I wanted to drop them there ! ( probably 2 visits too, drop off, then pick up )

 

Failing that who already has mk3 vRS leather and wants to swap cash their way for immac cloth seats !

I'm just not getting the wow factor every time I get in the car with the drab seats tbh. Shape yes, covering, no.

TBH its not urgent but I want the car to be just that bit more special and SS have offered a great price on front seats alone - but the distance bit is a bit of a pain what do you think ?

Actually they offer a "kit" which might be what they were talking about so I'm emailing them to confirm that. That would save the journey and in fact answer my problem.

Then I'd just have to work how the seat removal and cover fitting works !

 

- Done it with standard fabia seats/ recaros on mk1 so hopefully its no more difficult than that

I used a place in Kettering to recover parts of my old Focus fabric seats with leather. They made a very good job but I cannot remember exactly where they were as it was 3 cars ago. If you need it I will attempt to remember the name of the place.

I was previously discussing on here about possibility of trying to replace out just the cloth part to something more luxurious so that could still be on the cars.

Like alcantara or sometihng.

 

But at the price of just front seats that the S.S are quoting would be rude not to and havng seen what they do is very very good, I don't mind if its kit and have to fit the cover myself.

 

The clotch is just so dry.....its hardwearing but dry, attracts dust and dirt and not really very vRS is it.
