Just tried another SD card with a different format, no joy. Tried is with ASC CSV and GPX! GPX does at least let me load one POI.

My Amundsen System Info is

Device P/No 5L0035680L

Hardware H30

Software 0353

Nav Data Base:

5L00512632

0635

ECE1 2016/2017

Media Codec 3101.0.0.9

PersonalPOI version 2014-10-30

Sorry for the resurrection, and I know @ernieb now has a Scooby to play with, but I wondered did you ever get a resolution for the POI's on the Yeti Amundsen?

In a word NO, I was still using the VW legacy site for POI’s. Even though the dealer escalated eventually to the Skoda HQ there was never a fix that worked for me. Frankly I think it got to a point where they just moved on.

Interestingly, the Scooby uses TomTom for its maps and POI’s can only be added individually, however, it comes with a massive database which they update and so far fixed, specs speed cameras are included in the package. Subaru UK are about to commission the map update site so these will be regularly updated using your phones WiFi or Home WiFi if it extends enough to reach the car. The basic Sat Nav operational software gets checked every time I turn the car on, I’ve seen a download once but usually get the “System software is up to date” message.  I’ll know more when I’ve updated the maps.

Whey, hey .... well nothing would work, so after updating the maps to the 2018 version, I have now successfully imported the POI's into the Amundsen, and ticked the display MyPOI box to display them ... but for the life of me I cant seem to navigate to any of the 43 POI's I have imported .... any step for a hint, I'm sure its obvious but it seems to be eluding me .. :crying:

Hi ernieb, yup page 62 in my version of the manual, been there done it, nothing found ..... the detail is in the MyPOI file as it displays on the Skoda web page when I created the file...... time for coffee I think.

Well, finally its done, I ended up resetting all SatNav functions back to factory default and deleted all user data. I then applied the POI update without accessing the SatNav using the Amundsen "settings" screen which recognised the update on the SD card2, and applied it. I then went into the SatNav screens and ticked the My POI's so they would display and hey presto ... they do indeed appear on the map, so looks like the reset to factory defaults for the SatNav worked.

The Skoda website for generating MyPOI's is crap, and as buggy as a buggy thing under a rock full of bugs! It is really hit or miss generating the file and crashes constantly :crying:

Next problem ....... when browsing for the imported MyPOI's in the destination field, MyPOI's don't seem to be searchable .... however if you scroll the map to roughly the location you want, and have the "zoom" set to less than 5 miles MyPOI's popup on the map, you can then navigate to them, semi success, but I'm sure there must be a better way to navigate to the imported MyPOI's than that.
