I know you've probably seen it all before , but I've changed the not so nice looking 'yellow' bulbs for some nice bright white ones .

What bulbs have you fitted, especially the fog lights?

Do the LED fog bulbs bring up a bulb fail warning and are they OK with the fade in and out on cornering function?

I thought that the maximum wattage for headlight bulbs was 55w, the link you have published says they at 100w !

No bulb warning , and I'm going to test the cornering tonight when it's dark .

I have no problem with the 'quality' of the lights either , I'd just rather see them white instead of yellow  :sun:

These are the headlight bulbs > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162045465669?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

And these are the fog light bulbs > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252417083643?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT , they may be cheap and they may not last very long , but at 4 quid for 5 bulbs from Hong Kong (10 day delivery) I'm not fussed  ;)

I would be very careful with the first ones. 100w bulbs produce a lot of heat and they have been known to melt mountings and lenses. They are also illegal!

As for the LED's, you may not get a bulb warning now, but others have found that as they get older they start producing an error. I can see no reason to up-grade the fog lights; adding extra light seems to be defeating their idea.

Personally I would have bought some suitable Osram Nightbreaker Plus or their Phillips equivalent, as they are a known, excellent product.

Buy cheap, buy twice!!

The dipped beam is Bi Xenon (and a shutter for high beam), the high beam and "Flash" function is a normal H7.

Hi Urrell, didn't know that, must be on the F/L models, mine just has the Bi Xenons

I have an L&K on order so I'll wait and see what the bulbs are like.

I see it shows an H4 in the Pre FL Yeti "Fog Lights"

Would they be used for the "Flash" function and perhaps high beam?

Happened to catch "Fake Britain" the other morning, part of which was concerning fake Osram and Philips car bulbs being sold...

Not suggesting these are such but, Even though slightly more expensive, I would have been more inclined towards these ...

Interesting , why choose those over any others , if there are fakes on the market why would you think these aren't fakes ?

Autobulbs have a reputation to uphold, so only buy direct from the manufacturer, where as an Ebay seller could be anyone.

I have used them for some years and the only time I had a problem they replaced the bulb immediately.

I can't find a UK address for the Ebay company you have bought from, but they have been on there for 10 years

As Graham says really....

Not suggesting anything wrong with the ones on ebay but, personally, would not take the risk for the small difference in price.

It's Powerbulbs from Wakefield > http://www.powerbulbs.com/

In that case I withdraw any concerns I had.

Ditto.

Shame they don't say that on their Ebay shop.

I thought to survive on eBay, you had to have a good reputation...........and I'm not the trusting type either.

If you click on an item in the shop then scroll down the page near the bottom you can click on contact details and the address pops up.

Thanks for this thread, I did not realise that the new Yeti did not have the Bi Xenons that my previous two had, must the new style headlight. So I'll look to replace the H7 headlight.

How do the Osrams compare to the Bosch Pure Light, they appear to be similarly spec'd and were Which recommended?

Do the LED fog bulbs bring up a bulb fail warning and are they OK with the fade in and out on cornering function?

I must admit I hadn't considered the cornering function when I fitted these LEDs, and after initially not getting a bulb warning I tried the lights last night and as I went round a corner the warning light appeared, and the corner light didn't come on . The fog lights actually work OK, but because they bring up the bulb warning and the cornering doesn't work, they're no good, so the original ones are back in this morning.

So I guess you can't use LEDs in the fog lights.

I have been fitting Osram Nightbreakers in my cars and motorcycles for quite a while now and am VERY happy with them.
