LED Lighting

Featured Replies

I'm sure I've seen a topic on this before but I can't find anything, I've got a 2011 octavia vrs & I want to change the the interior lighting & number plate bulbs over to led's.

Can any of you guys shed some advice on this for me please?

Thanks.

Interior lighting isn't a problem, it's not monitored. Any decent T10 and festoon LEDs should do.

The rear number plate lights are monitored by the BCM so you'll get a bulb out warning on the dash. I'd recommend a pair of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191941321738

Super bright as you saw when we met up and given the BCM your car has, we can code them in to avoid resistors and bulb warnings :)

I take it those number plate lights won't fit a pre-FL? Mine are festoon LEDs but not as bright/white as I'd have hoped.

They should fit the pre-fl.

Not sure if they would need coding in or using the resistors to avoid bulb warnings.

I bought some random LED bulbs on ebay just to check out how do they look there (hoped they will last longer as well). They weren't able to work without warning...

Changed to the old ones.
