Audi S3 2008 Replica Alloys

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me what I will need to make these fit an octy3? 17" x 7.5"

Maybe with a bit of luck they might even fit straight on......?

Thanks in advance.

Do you know the ET (offset), PCD and the centre bore of the S3 wheels?

Thanks for responding Dave.

They have an offset of ET45. They are 5x112 and have a centre bore of 57mm.

OK, so the PCD is identical.

Do you know the width, ET and centre bore is of the wheels on your octy.

Then you can compare the width & ET to see where the wheel will sit relative to the calipers and wheelarch; and the centre bore to see if you need a converter ring or hubcentric spacer (if the wheels need spacing out more).

Octavia 3 Scout. So whatever that is?

Sorry for being vague. I'm a complete Skoda newbie...

Me too, I had an Audi B7 RS4 until June...

Without knowing the data for your current wheels it's impossible to advise if the S3 wheels might be suitable, and if they are what if any adapters/spacers you would need.

I think they are ET49? 7" wide..

OK from ET and the wheel width you can work out the distance from mounting face to wheel outside edge and inside edge.

Do that for both the OE wheels and the S3 wheels, then you'll be able to tell if you have sufficient clearance for the calipers, how much further (if at all) the outside edge of the wheel will be so you can check for possible wheelarch rubbing - oh and don't forget to think out distance of the inside edge too (on my other car, a Citroen C1, I have to run 10mm spacers on the font to prevent the inner edge of the 6" wide summer wheels, OE which I use for winter are 4.2", rubbing when on full lock). If those dimensions don't work out then see what hubcentric spacers (to space the wheels further out) would do.

The only other question is centre bore diameter, if they S3 ones are larger then you'll need some rings (as you don't want the static weight of the wheels to rest on the bolts), but if they're the same you'll need to think about either using hubcentric spacers or having the S3 wheels machined.

They are bolt-on.

Being replicas, the only thing you need to check is the shape of the bolt contact face. Skoda has sperical face, and the original bolts do not fit well if the replica alloys has conical face.

That's a good point regarding bolts. But seeing as they are Audi reps surely they will be to suit vag bolts. Unless Audi are different to Skoda??

I think the Centre Bore on the Octavia wheels is 57.1mm

They are bolt-on.

So as the wheels are 1/2" (12mm) wider you only need to check the ET is OK for both clearance to the calipers and the inner face too.

Audi use spherical bolts as far as I know, but these alloys are replicas, and who knows what they are.

The vRS has 7,5" wide alloys as option, is lower and has bigger calipers. With ET45 there should not be any problem to fit these on standard O3.
