Hints: (if you cant jack the car up or take the bumper off - i had no space to do either - notice on the kerb)

Fit the Center 2 struts first then work outwards

Pilot holes are your best friend.

Masking tape is your best friends friend for lining bits up (don't worry its safe on paintwork)

Dremel with a drill bit - Pilot holes in the splitter off the car - fit center then use the pilot holes as pilot holes.

Price of these has gone up

Quoted the following from a Birmingham Seat dealer

the price for the part number provided including vat is £37.84 & delivery would be 48hrs.

Anyone else source them cheaper?

Listers SEAT priced matched these guys

http://www.accessoryplus.co.uk/product/Seat_Cupra_R_Front_Splitter_1M0805903

and will deliver to a local VW Listers up the road to save a 40mile trip and postage!

Still £34 though!

Picked it on Friday and it was well worth a trip to VW Listers in Stratford as the ladies were well easy on the eye

Just a quickie...

has everyone who's fitted the splitter cut the "triangles" out to help it bend?

nvm, sorted. I didnt bother cutting it to bend it, just played around with the positioning and happy with it. Was a pain in the rear doing it by myself, but well happy with the finished result.

Great guide, what size self tappers? Is there any pipe work that could be pierced beyond the bumper?

Picking mine up today, fitting Monday hopefully.

Many thanks,

A great guide.. but an answer to the post above would be great :)

any links to the exact self tappers need would be much appreciated :)

Just going back to the start of the topic. It was said that a couple of bits were cut out from the splitter so that it didn't crease.

Just another method, I used a hair dryer to heat and remold the plastic. It worked a treat with no bits cut out.

Off the top of my head can't remember the sizes of the screws. Don't tighten them too tight though your only going in to a thin bumper.

No theres no pipe work that would be affected by this.

does the lcr splitter fit non RS bumpers? (but still a fabia, not a focus like earlier on in the thread.. lol)
