Carplay and iOS 10

Featured Replies

Have anyone upgraded their iPhone device to iOS 10 and tested new CarPlay version in their S3?

Any issues?

I did. So far all ok.

Have you been able to get the directions up in the maxi dot display? I've heard it may require an update from Skoda, but I'm wondering if also it's not actually enabled by Apple yet as it seems that no one has got it working with any brand of car yet

I know the information available is limited but does anyone know if bolero will/could support the instrument cluster navigation things? If the car will ever support it, that is.

Somewhat off topic, but beware the iOS 10 update. As covered in some of the media, it can cause your phone to “brick”. That’s rather disconcerting and a bit of a pain to fix (apparently).

My son had this happen to his 6s, so I’m going to wait a while before daring to install the update.

They have an "updated" update now ! 10.0.1  .. updated my SE yesterday, and it's fine.

No directions on maxidot after ios 10 update.

Got to be honest, carplay is super annoying because it always autostarts when you plug in the USB, cutting off your music and things on the screen.

The stupid thing also cuts off your music on screen whenever you open ANYTHING on your phone when connected.

Pretty **** without google maps/waze too.
