mp3 CD

Featured Replies

What program should I use to create a mp3 cd for about 100 songs or so.

With the right plug in you can just use Windows Media Player, which I assume you've already got.

If you have the 100 or so tracks in one folder on your PC, you can just write them to a CD as a data CD. Use any CD burning software like Nero, etc.

I use Windows Media Player 10 to rip my CD's to MP3 & then just burn the MP3 files onto a CDR.

On 192 Kbps I can get 8-10 albums on a 700MB CDR.

Yeah, I got a bit excited when I was typing!!:D

iTunes does this:

Goto: Preferences > Advanced > Burning & select MP3 CD.

By reducing the quality in the Media Player copy options I can squeeze 50 tracks on to a cheapo 128Mb MP3 player/USB disk. The tinny little ear phones don't really show up the difference - or perhaps it's loss of high frequency hearing due to age and too much riding of loud bikes

I've found cramming down to 96kbps doesn't make much difference on sound quality, even in the car. Not sure how it gets when you start getting into the 70s?

 Seconded.

Don't use the windows media player crap. Winamp on the pc, and a folder full of mp3s. Well, folder full of folders full of mp3 albums. :)

Download FREERIP from the net, its free shareware, this will copy and convert music to MP3 format very easily, been using this to copy music to my MP3 player, simple to use for non techies.
