Octavia vrs exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have a mk1 octavia vrs and the original standard exhaust needs replacing so I'm after some recommendations for the replacement, do I go standard again or aftermarket, what systems are a good choice. Its just a standard 180bhp.

Thanks :)

Been looking about for one myself and from what ive found online (miltek , piper etc.) You could have a custom one made up from places like powerflow etc. For about the same money. Im after something loud so think i'll be booking it in at powerflow when i have some spare coin.

You might be better off getting one made by a specialist they sometimes work out cheaper and you can customise the tail piece to how you want it to look tony banks in Leeds are quite a good company from what I've been reading online but if it's too far from you then have a look on internet or ask around when my standard one goes this is my plan good look and don't forget pics or even a video

Depends on your long term plan for the car really. Are you keeping it standard, or planning to tune it at any point? If staying standard then just replace the OE with OE. If your plans include tuning it, then get a custom system made up, but be aware that adding a performance exhaust to a standard engine can reduce power slightly, due to the lower back pressure

Thanks guys I'll try and stay standard then as not planning on tuning and wanting a 2007/08 vrs in the next couple of years and I don't want to affect the performance

I've been looking at those ulter back boxes, but i cant seem to find much about them on other vrs's.

Yep will fit no problem

Thanks, I think that what I'm going to order and also a green cotton panel filter

  • 3 weeks later...

Might want to get a remap as well after the filter and exhaust to maximise the gains....best mod I made to mine, was the remap.
