Felicia GLi best value enhancements

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Right, this might sound like a bit of a noobish question, so bear with me...

Basically I have a T-Reg Felicia 1.3GLi estate, and am looking for a bit more umph from it. Only problem is I'm on a tight budget, so I'd like to know what the best value performance enhancers are for the car. (Also one of the reasons why I want to tweak it a little, can't see myself being able to afford a new car anytime soon)

I'm quite happy getting my hands dirty, and am mechanically minded, so applying the stuff won't be the problem (plus theirs always the haynes ;) )

I've done a bit of searching on here, and see that two things that might help are a new air intake/filter, and a Cat replacement section for the exhaust. Does anyone have any experience with trying to upgrade their Felicia, ie parts that did/didn't work? Whose best to buy from? etc

I realise that any gains won't be massive, but a little extra would be nice, and I understand the filter change can make the engine sound a little growlyer [is that a word  ], which is a deffient bonus :)

Thanks in advance

Ed
