Had my Pimp Tints done on the LCR on tuesday....do look good on a black car. 35% charcol black security film (antismash stuff)

The VRs will defo look like a high power limo with them on

Steve

Lets see a pic then Steve :)

Dont have cam to do it, at present, and cant post em elsewhere at present due to internal wranglings our site photographer is abscent without leave

Will give Des a gander and he can (in his own v.special way) make some words to fit the music

Steve

thot u could only have 30% tint by new laws?

  • Author

There are no laws yet. The police like to be able to see inside the car. The tint company (Autotints / National Windscreens in Carlisle) recommend no darker than 35% on the fronts but anything goes on the rears. So I've gone for %35 on the front and I think 23% on the rear glass.

The percentage is the amount of light the tints let through so the lower the number the darker the tint.

Steve

yup, my fronts are 35%, then darker at each panel until darkest at rear - done well you shouldn't see the "change in darkness" from outside.

I am in Whitehaven and not a taxi. Already had my windows done.

I hope you are as pleased with the results as I am.

Q - Off topic - but what was that "europe" thing that popped up earlier, and disappeared just as quick?

Oh, and merry Xmas to you too... [worried] :D

Jason, that wasn't the thread you were looking for...

I was just testing something and needed a place to do it in. Obviously I'm too slow for Jason 'F5' Devonutopia :D

 - I didn't even know that F5 was the refresh key. :D - I've just been hitting the button with the mouse for the last XXX years...

"I've learned something new today"

Oh and the word "utilise" only applies to using a tool for a task it wasn't designed for, i.e, I "utilised" a chisel to wedge in the inner tube into my dashboard mount."

12 hours time and I'll see what she looks like :D

Steve

PS Going for 500 posts, hence pointless post!

PPS Is your car a 'she' or a he'. Time for a poll!
