So, I went to a shop yesterday and the mechanic pointed out that the struts for the boot might be leaking because they were small streaks of oil on em, not on the covering plastic tube though so my question is, how are yours?

Are there small streaks of oil on your struts aswell?

The electric struts on the boot of our combi are covered in grease/oil and always have been. I can send you a photo if you like.
