Anti-Skoda'ism on Eastenders!

Featured Replies

Can't believe it!

Just seen some scene on Eastenders where the old black guy (I don't watch it often as you can tell....) who runs the car lot place has just acquired a new car, and Pat's there saying stuff along the lines of, "I wouldn't wanna be seen out at night in it" - and the old guy saying, "Its not about the style, and bodywork is good, etc"

The car? A neat little light blue Skoda Felicia! With the bonnet emblem in full view.... Its no wonder there's still anti_Skoda chatter about and its probably just been re-enforced by a popular BBC1 soap opera! :grumpy:

Yes but what about that Capri that Kat and Alfi went off in - What a bag of plop it just about sums up eastenders

Don't care about that! Its a ford. :D

What does Pat know anyway - ok she may have fettled evry second hand car salesman in the square but that doesn't mean anything LOL

That Capri was awesome. A true iconic car...!

Skoda is obviousy the car maker of choice when looking for cheapness still... Pity.

Though I dont think we would see a Fabia, Superb or Octavia on the car lot for the same reaction would we?

Oi :finger:

I'd rather be a southern shandy drinking puff than a northern monkey!! ;)

And if my experience of northerners is anything to go by, us southerners can drink you under the table any night of the week  - just think of all the poofy wine bars we've got for lunch time drinking etc!!:D

Yeah, but we're that hard, we've got Pubs with names like 'The Slaughtered Lamb'!

To be brutally honest, your 'Southern Poofish' habits have spread North to affect us all!

I must confess that I now drink in a wine - bar.

However, being a Northern wine - bar, its dead hard. Belgian beer actually, with stuff like 'Bush Ambre' @ 12.5 % alcolol. How hard and Northern is that!

John. :orb_coffe
