Steering controller to cycle thru radio stations / contacts

Featured Replies

On the dot matrix is it possible to cycle through the stored radio stations rather than all available stations

Also when initiating phone call it comes up with a list of the last phone calls dialed. Is there an option for it to display contact list

Thanks

I'd like both of those things, but I've not discovered any way to do it. I'd also like to be able to switch between radio and media and to jump to the next album using the steering wheel controls, but it doesn't seem to be possible.

It is possible to cycle though stored stations when using dab.

On the infotainment: radio - settings - dab settings. Here in lies an option that lets you chose whether the arrows (both on screen and steeringwheel) cycles through the stationslist or favourites.

I havent tested to see if this also applies to FM.

You can cycle between audio sources with the button that is furthest left on the left pad.

Since May 2015 that's been the voice control button. The button that was for voice control is now supposed to bring up the completely pointless assistance systems menu, but does absolutely nothing on my car as I haven't got front or lane assist.

I've got a similar button on the steering wheel of my 12 year old Audi, when I press the voice control button I get a nice message on the dash screen that simply says Button Not Used.

The changed setting on Maxidot should sort the station selection, but like me I think source selection is headunit only.

Well, that's progress for you, it seems that my 2013 model may have features that others long for. Perhaps their cars have features that I long for....

Thanks. That's fixed the arrows on the touch screen and the steering wheel. The station list on the Maxidot is still rubbish, mostly because it retunes to each station as you scroll instead of waiting for you to choose the one you want.

It does.

There is a check box in the radio unit options menu to choose between cycling over all stored stations or just the favorite ones, it may help the OP
