Excellent - nice to see David getting busy with business already!

Any pics - or is David doing the write-up?

Looking forward to more details on the winter protection

Talk about early! It was barely light when David turned up to give our Fabia some tlc this morning. We agreed on a decontamination and a good waxing to keep it looking like new through the winter.

Fabialous job including wheels and glass. Looking forward to getting the same done to our new Citigo when it lands in about 10 days.

Thank you very much, Malcolm & Caroline

Malcolm, you're very welcome and I'm chuffed you were pleased with the result, cracking looking car. Many thanks for your custom and for providing me the opportunity to work on your new motor. Great to meet you and your family today and I look forward to the arrival of the new Citigo. All the best, David.

Thanks Ste! I ALWAYS take a few pics of every car I do but I'm embarrassed to say I ended up being side tracked upon completion and completely forgot, that was until I admired the finish as Malcolm drove his family up the street, by which time it was too late!!!

The car was an anthracite grey Monte Carlo estate, lovely looking car with piano black gloss alloys.

As you'd expect with a very new car, or maybe not these days, the overall condition was very good and quite well prepared by the local dealer.

As discussed, Malcolm's main focus was to protect the alloys and bodywork for the impending winter months.

The car was given a full chemical decon, using BH Autofoam to start the process.

There was no tar present but Tardis made light work of possible glue residue left on one of the rear doors.

I'd recently been provided with an, as yet, unnamed and unbranded fallout remover. I'd tested this prior to today and found it extremely effective, spraying on and clinging onto the paintwork rather than just running off.

This was diluted with Surfex HD and it made light work of the wheels and bodywork, leaving a very smooth finish.

Tyres cleaned with diluted Surfex but not dressed at Malcolm's request.

The alloys and bodywork were given two good coats of BH DSW, with Carlack glass sealant to finish it off.

As with all cars I work on, I welcome feedback from the owner at any stage in order to learn, develop and strive for unrivalled customer care.

Simply put, my feedback is "absolutely brilliant". I felt informed and involved in the process of deciding what was going to be done to our car and Davids suggestions were tailored to my needs, the budget being flexed to include only the necessary steps. I had an idea of what I wanted to spend and David took hours on our car and still came in under that.

The whole experience was really positive and we'll be inviting David again, to detail our new Citigo when it arrives. Thank you.

Sounds good folks... BH DSW should do you proud through winter.

Plan in a Spring detail with David to go through a similar routine

That's perfect Malcolm, thank you so much, 100% customer satisfaction! Looking forward to to treating the Citigo!

Thanks Ste. We discussed Malcolm's maintenance washes along the way and he already had the knowledge and understanding so as not to undo the protection or create any paint imperfections. Given that, a spring detail would've advisable to keep the motor looking it's best.

After driving in the drizzly rain this morning, I hardly had to use the wipers because of the treatment applied causing fine drops to run up the screen. When I did, the wipers juddered a tiny bit, as David warned me they might have done but it left the view very clear with no smearing.

A little frustrating Malcolm but at least you were aware of the possibility. I use the very same product on my Golf with no judder whatsoever.

I find some of the detailing products like the tyre dressings and glass sealants very variable in terms of overall finish and result, strange as you'd think there shouldn't be too many variables in tyre rubber, windscreen glass and wiper blade rubber.

I'm always on the lookout for new products and try them on my own car first. By the time your Citigo arrives I hope to have a new glass sealant so we can apply that to the Citigo and relook at the windscreen of your Fabia.

Absolutely nothing to be concerned about David, I'd be delighted to have exactly the same done on the Citigo. Being fair, I couldn't have told you if the wipers juddered or not beforehand. If the wipers bed in a tad, they might calm down but the judder was only slight and it didn't feather or stutter leaving any marks so they were doing the job perfectly for my eyes. I'm very happy with the outcome.

It seems your posts are getting you a bit of business here on Briskoda, nice one Chris! Keep up the good work, and don't forget some pics next time!!

Damn predictive text on my phone. Apologies Chubb's, not Chris! Haha.

That's great to know Malcolm. As you know, I'm always looking at process improvement and I like to compare products to achieve the best result possible.

Thanks! Yeah, pics are definitely needed, still can't believe I didn't take any, doh! Thanks for your support.

All the best

Any good for the cause? If not, you'll have to take pics of them both after you do the Citigo.
