Superskoda Door Safety Light upgrade.

Featured Replies

Hi.

Has anyone swapped out the rather dim red lights for these or have you found something cheaper / better?

Thanks all.

I stuck in some very tasteless projectors on my Octavia which ended up being free which I think is a good price.  The plug was wrong and when I asked to send them back and order a different set they said don't bother, we will refund you.  I then cut the plug off and put on connectors that would fit into the cars socket.

I should have got the one above but got the ones with a single plug.  My mistake but it worked out OK in the end.

They're interesting!

I've ordered 4 of them at eBay from China with 18 LEDs in each one. I've got one from my fabia vrs which I tested first and they work/fit

Would also be interested in this as I swapped them out in my MKII before but they where different fittings which had 50/50 clear and red sections for puddle lights and warnings I guess.

Got a link? ;)

these the ones I've brought

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281811465667

Thanks for the link, but those are not red - I thought we were talking about the red lights on the side of the doors

I was although Superskoda offer both red and clear/white. I guess I would like to stick with red.

Apologies, should have been more specific. :(

If you'll stick with red ones, then also go for red color emiting LEDs. If you go with white emiting LEDs, red reflector will filter out much off the light - red LEDs will be more bright and also color will be more vivid.
