Hi everyone, just joined today, 2005 Octavia 1.9.

I have an '05 Octavia 1.9 and it seems to have developed an intermittent fault. Sometimes when starting after the warning lights have gone off, the Traction Control emblem on the dash and the ABS button light up. When this happens the car won't start. When I press the ABS button it makes no difference and the two warnings stay on. I have to keep turning the ignition off until the warning lights go off, and then it will start as normal. I have had it to my local garage where it has been scanned showing no error codes on their machine. The fault would not occur for them when they had it in. Does this sound familiar to anyone. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks. Dave.
