Consumption data between refuelling

Featured Replies

Hi,

All consumption data should be auto reset after each refuel.

I've noticed that occasionally the consumption data has been reset even between refuelling.

I wanted to know if anyone had experienced this "bug"?

Thanks.

Yes, I've experienced this on a couple of occations.

My car is currently in the workshop for an exchange of a faulty electronics module (my horn stopped working a few weeks after delivery and I have problems with the radio reception, probably due to the faulty module).

My car is a MY17...

afaik, this is common. I have noticed this on one or two occasions. I have read that passats have this too.

Are you talking about the ‘since refuel’ or the ‘long term’ display?

The long term display resets after every 100 hrs (IIRC).

I'm talking about 'since refuel'.

I did not know about the 100 hrs reset for the 'long term' even though I'm quite sure that mine has been reset much before, can't tell exactly when.

If you happen to accidently push the selector button for too long then that manually resets all data for the mode you are in.

The long-term also resets at 9999 (km or miles depending on preference) but you would have a pretty impressive average speed of over 100kph for that to happen before the 100 hours was up.

Thanks Gerrycan.

So, has Škoda not come up with a solution yet? A simple software patch would work wonders.

I had my 2nd service done yesterday. I asked the engineer about this problem (which i also have) and he said that it is a known problem, but no solution yet.

Maybe it's not that simple as a software patch.
