Having acquired some Nivalis wheels for my Scout for my winter tyres I have a few questions you might be able to help me with...

 

1) Does anyone know if the wheel bold caps are the same as the Polar wheels, or are they anthracite in colour as standard for the Nivalis?

 

2) Best source of anthracite wheel bolt caps? Expensive from a dealer? anyone have a part number? I wouldn't know where to look

 

3) I'm right in thinking the bolts are 17mm right? and torqued to 120Nm?

 

4) Is a backstreet tyre place going to ruin my sills with their jack, if they don't use a 4-point lift?

Hmm

1. No idea

2. You can pick up lower cost aftermarket 17mm bolt caps from fleabay in a variety of colours, many list as VAG fitment.

3. 17mm yes, no idea about torque, mine are done to just under 4 white knuckles.

4. Go see said tyre dealer, express your concerns and assuming he gives the right assurances go for it and watch him like a hawk. I use a back street dealer and he never uses the jacking points, he jacks I think somewhere near where the suspension arms meet the chassis.
