What is the meaning of Life and how does one dicuss it?

I had read some cosmological theory (quite a well established one) that indicated that it was quite possible for a universe to arise from nothing. That prior to the big bang there may have been something but time may not have existed. So there was no before and there is no after.

But concepts like that make my brain go and hide in a corner. The software that runs the meat in our heads just isn't programmed to deal with that or more than the 4 normal dimensions. The only people who can see past that are physicists and they do it with maths. They still can't create pictures of it in their heads.

Ah, a favourite of mine. Does time exist after the big bang then? And if so, in what sense of 'exist'?

OK, organic stuff decays and I guess that this could be said implying (in some way) that something we could call time really exists outside our consciouness. But what about elementary particles? Do they decay?

Or is 'time' just a label we put on a certain kind of human experience?

And (in order not to aggravate the OP) is time a necessary condition for a meaningful life?

Time is just another direction made obvious by the principle of entropy which is the universe's inexorable decent into a chaotic low energy state.

We perceive time but it doesn't really exist any more than a perception of up,down, left or right.  You feel heat as something different to light and you can't detect radio waves but they're all the same thing.

The universe is so profoundly weird when you get to the quantum level that anything is possible really. The uncertainty principle is a belter. That a particle exists in all states until it is observed at which the uncertainty collapses to a single measurable state. The particle isn't concious it doesn't 'know' it's being looked at but the state isn't fixed until you look. And that's been proven now. I think it was called the Copenhagen interpretation.

Then you have quantum entanglement

This is a short Poem of sorts by KRS ONE He describes the principle of the Bible but instead of fictional characters he instead uses ancient Hermetic philosophical teachings to decipher the messages contained within.

“For those who believe in God, most of the big questions are answered. But for those of us who can't readily accept the God formula, the big answers don't remain stone-written. We adjust to new conditions and discoveries. We are pliable. Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.”

So what is the Meaning of Life? The eternal philosophical question born because of our innate capacity of self consciousness, to be self aware, not only that which comes from within but also that which is without.

One of my current favorite artist gives his view perhaps about the Meaning of his Music and maybe existence itself. Just one persons expression through his Art, high class Hip-Hop.

This stuff is deeper than money

Thanks for the video which was also refreshing to me.

That is part of a full interview that Tupac done not long before he was killed it's fascinating especially If you are interested in Tupac's incredible, inspirational life story (The Muhammad Ali of Rap).

Watch out for the film due out next year called All Eyez On Me they better do him justice because millions will be watching and judging.

Here's the full Vibe interview, realness personified. Look at his facial expression when he says he feels if he's alive for another 20 years he see's himself changing the World, then when he say's or be changed by the World....He has a look of I will be dead before they change me :)
