Service Notification

Featured Replies

Quick q on the back of my other thread around dealer changing us to variable servicing without asking us.

The car is now notifying us on every start up and turn off that it's due for a service in 355 days etc, is that what variable servicing does? When on fixed it only told us when the service was within 30 days....

When my 2009 was on variable service the automatic countdown display only appeared a few weeks before service was due. A demo in a Mark 3 surprised me by displaying that a service was due in 3500 miles.

I'm now buying that car and have asked for it to be switched to an annual service after a pre delivery service.

Thanks so its not right then by the sounds of it.  Don't need it to tell us every trip twice!!

Nah not likely I'd get it checked, mines been pinging for a few weeks now as I'm a few past the day it wanted to be serviced. Roll on payday!

As above its not correct.

It should only inform you when you are close to the service or inspection interval.

Note that the inspection & service intervals can be different.
