1999 Felicia 1.6 pick up loses headlamps, wipers and blower fan under revs

Featured Replies

Hi fellow owners ,  We are getting a strange problem of late ,  in that when driving under normal conditions the headlamps fade out , the blower fan stops on any speed and the wipers if used stall on the windscreen , this is coupled with a fast clicking from the fuse box relay no 18 , Have changed the whole fusebox and relays but to no success ,, the car has the same issues ,  Please could any one add to the thread if they came up with any thing of similar or the same nature ?  Many Thanks Richard ,

As the revs rise you lose electrical functions.

As the revs rise, the uncontrolled output from the alternator would also rise if not for the control box (aka regulator).

I can't test for which it is, but your description makes me think that you have a charging circuit problem and not a fuse box or relay problem.

Not even close. See what happens when you don't know the specifics of a car? You send people to a wild-goose chase.

Read this topic at http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/415636-electrical-issue/ and act accordingly (yellow wire connector).

PS

I recommend all Felicia owners to check that connector for dirt/corrosion/moisture and clean it.

Back at you.

Or are you seriously claiming that the laws of physics are different in a Felicia engine bay than in the rest of the known universe?

We am not talking in this topic about the laws of physics. We are talking about a specific car, Skoda Felicia, that has a specific electrical issue, that has a specific solution well known to Felicia technicians. The giveaway is this text passage of OP: "fast clicking from the fuse box relay no 18" For you that means nothing.

This is REAL WORLD. I give real world solutions from working on Felicia and Favorit. You quote from Wikipedia or Haynes manuals. Furthermore, you admitted that you didn't own or work on any of those cars. From my perspective people need quick practical solutions, not generic theory.

In case you still don't understand you're not helping people with such answers but on the contrary you waste their time and possibly money, I invite you to review one of your past answers (randomly selected) that show how many blatant erroneous information you passed in a single topic.
