Car Play - iPhone SE

Featured Replies

Hi,

So oddity with my April 16 SEL-Exec....

My iPhone 6 will plug in and do car play just great, as did my old work iPhone 5S and Mrs' iPhone 6+, but the iPhone SE (new work phone) just comes up as a USB audio device.

Any ideas? S/W update needed?

Thanks,

Give Apple a call

I've got SE, and it works fine. Try "hard" restart on phone as well as on infotainment system, also you can try another cable.

Do you have Siri enabled? You need it for Apple Car Play.

Dont be foolish.

iPhone SE is newer than iPhone 5. How much logic does it make that 5 works and SE and 6 which are older devices do not work?!?

Update your device and restart your headunit.

Will make it work ;). There is a scam in the headunit when you have more than 3-4 Apple Carplay devices data saved. Dunno why. It happened with my iPhone 7 aswell. Reset and all good.

Indrek.

How do I do a "hard reset" of the head unit??

How do I do a "hard reset" of the head unit??

Press and hold the power/volume button.

It will switch off and then the speakers will crackle/pop as it resets.

Let it boot back up.

Pleased to hear!

what is a hard reset? I tried it on mine but it still remembered previously paired BT devices. Is there a "factory reset" option?

Hi!

There is an option in the Menu.

I can´t remember excactly where it´s at because I don´t have the car with me at the moment, but there is.

Find it , do it and everything should be working good again.
