I have got a curious question.

 

Is there a 6 speed gearbox that would fit in to a 2002 Mk1 1.4 16v fabia?

Nope, although I'm quite sure Quaife could make one up for you but I don't think you'd like the price...

Fair enough, it may be worth asking if they don;t list your gearbox.

Can you put the correct gearbox code for information ?

Does the gearbox on this model follow the familiar vw construction style with 5th gear on the ouside of the bearing carrier ?

Only was curious because with some of these smaller cars they do a souped up model with a 6th speed and wondered if Skoda went down that road!

I was thinking about that for my 1.9TDi until I saw the price. Cheaper to get a 2nd hand six-speed 'box and driveshafts/ hubs etc
