Recommendations for a boot liner

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just picked up my vRS estate this week and bought the hard plastic boot dish with it but with the floor in the lower position the boot dish doesn't fit properly as there is s gap between it's base and the floor. So i'm heading back to the dealership this morning to replace it or get a refund but has anyone got any recommendations for something similar.

I've got 2 dogs that will be in the boot more than anything else so it needs to be something that will protect the boot area as well as a roll out strip to cover the bumper..

Many thanks,

Chris

Arrr no! Mine is flat on the base. I can see how it may not work if the floor was raised. When I get a chance I'll post a picture.

One disadvantage of the raised or variable boot floor that has carried over from the MkII then by the looks of it. You'd think Skoda might have learnt from their last model?

Sounds like you need two, the hard one for when the boot floor is in the raised position and the soft one for the lower position.

I have the genuine Skoda one and it is very good quality and a perfect fit...

I see there is one with the vRS emblem too from Superskoda...

Hatchbag - no contest fits perfectly

My lab lives in the vrs just about, he has a tuffies bed the right size to fit and the hatchbag keeps the car clean. The nice thing about the tuffies bed is that with the floor in the lower position it's only really level with the bumper so he can still stand up without difficulty

Buy the heavy rubber skoda one, its realy good and i think damps some of the noise from the boot floor.

Not being a doggy person, I can only imagine how bad it must be inside a doggy car.

No amount of Xmas tree dangly air fresheners, back seat blankets, boot liners or cages can prevent the residue from remaining.

Last year, hertz brought me a Nissan Qashqai that had been used by a doggy person. What a mess in the boot. What a smell.

I have one in the back of my Alhambra with all the seats folded down and even still it is too long or actually nicely long, i folded under the extra length.

From Ebay & was £12.75 delivered, it is not heavy rubber like mats.

(I have 2 of them from B & M for £7 each and they are under the liner.)

So thick enough rubbery & non slip, not nylon & long with a fold out section.

Not used for dogs or dogging by me, but to put bikes on top of.

No sticky tape & velcro to hold up the sides but that makes the liner easy to lift out and clean.

Tried looking to see the seller but not found it,

but google

ebay Heavy duty water proof car estate boot liner lip protector £12.75 and you should find it.

(i will look when on a computer rather than a phone.)

& it was from

homes and design online @ £12.77

On the right is what B&M have in at under £7.

Also for £24 you might find on Ebay or Amazon.

A Extra Long Runner which is 180 cm x 120 cm, carpeted top on rubber base like at shop doors. Or even in homes..

you can turn this upside down and this is strong rubber.

(i have one of those as well.) must be a fetish.

'Amazon from Shop Alert £23.90 'big extra large grey & black barrier mat non slip'  that should find it.

I've just taken the official Octavia rubber boot mat out of my estate as it's going back tomorrow.

If anyone wants it, let me know :)

Get one of these. fits perfectly and looks good.boot%20mat_zps8fepdlji.jpg

I got mine from www.hatchbag.co.uk. It was pricey at £112.00, but to me totally worth it. Having ruined many a car with wet, muddy dogs (despite various bootliners /seat covers etc) this offers complete protection. There are lots of options (I got standard with bumper cover in black) You can get ones with the seat splits, bits that attach to cover the backseat headrests, a tailgate cover etc. Plus there is a choice of colours. I highly recommend Hatchbag if you're prepared to pay for it. Also arrives fast. I ordered mine on a Thurs afternoon, it was delivered the following lunchtime!!
