2010 Octavia 1.9 TDI - Maxi Dot / Computer

Hi all

 

Got myself a 2010 Estate with the good old 1.9 TDI (Tho a BXE but I will take the risk and change oil every 6 months). Need to get under it and check about DPF but Im SURE it has one as all European sold Diesel cars after 2008 had to have one tho this forum everyone says only the 4x4 ones did.

 

Its proper budget spec....... I dont mind but doesnt even have the trip/mpg computer. I know the Maxi dot seems had to add to a face lift (Impossible back in 2012) but what if I want the mpg instant and odometer reading? Can I get a different stalk (with buttons on end to cycle through) and code it with VCDS?

If it's mega basic without even a trip computer, I'm sure that you'll need to swap over at the very least the cluster and stalks.

 

No UK supplied 1.9 in the Octavia had a DPF, even the 4x4 1.9 TDI has no DPF.

You have a basic cluster, but it can still be coded to provide you with several trip computer options

The cluster you have now can have the trip computer function enabled with VCDS in the long coding
