Wireless charger retro fit?
Eddie-NL replied to TheWanderer's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk IV (2020 > )
I've done an Oem install in a Polo AW and a Golf 7 You just need the cubby bin which has the holder for the charger. Wireless Charger 5NA 980 611 Then you need the loom which has 2 wires that go to the glovebox unit Ground and 12v supply from the fuse box. (I can make the loom) Code 5F for wireless charger only downside it won't be cheap -

According to ITN News the Police investigation cost £460000 Number of fines issued 126 Somehow i don't think the fines would have covered the cost. (make them pay) Shame on them for not sticking to the rules -

Upgrade to Columbus unit
Eddie-NL replied to Papalaxeroux's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
depends where you want to connect it You need to find Orange and Purple & Orange and Brown twisted wires, Either on the radio plug, MDI if you have it or the CAN gateway Red wire will be a permanent live, if you look at the sticker on the Columbus it will show you the pin outs for the Quadlock. You probably will find that the Green plug might not fit in your quadlock. depending what version of quadlock you have. Also don't expect too much from the 1K8 bluetooth, it is the most basic unit -
Black wire with the blue stripe is the reverse wire

Bluetooth mic plug problem
Eddie-NL replied to Wondermouse's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
your issue is that VAG changed the design of the quadlock around 2010 the green and blue plugs are different between versions. the Green plug is the older version and the and the blue one is the newer one/ simple solution is to remove the black part of the green plug and push it into the slot where it goes. Push the blue one in first so you don't mix them up. or if you wish to do it properly order the newer green plug and swop the terminals over -
The problem here is not just the pin location, i had a similar issue with a T5 van. The terminals were different in the older plug I take it your fabia is the older 5J (2007 -2010) What else are you going to do to install a mfsw
-
newest version of the 7P6 J, K or M or 3C8 C, D or E unfortunately you still might find the issue as these are now a few years old and your phone is fairly new
-
The problem is that most door frames / linings will have architraves that won't allow the door to open fully to 180 degrees The parliament hinges bring the pivot point out to clear them or if the frame is recessed.
-
You could try Parliament Hinges they allow 180 degree opening. Buy good quality ones as there is more stress exerted on the hinge if the doors are heavy.

do you mean the cluster or the screen in the cluster?
